It was started by skincare brand Deciem as a way to challenge the impulse shopping (and inevitable waste) of Black Friday and Cyber Monday (BFCM) by encouraging thoughtful purchases. Instead of having a flash sale and cutting prices so customers feel pressured to buy things they may not need, Deciem offers a month-long discount so shoppers can take their time, research ingredients, and choose the right products for them.
That's a promotional concept we can get behind! As you may already know, here at Jewelust environmental sustainability influences all of our decisions -- from choosing recycled silver and gold and sustainably sourced gems and diamonds (including lab grown diamonds), to using natural products in our studio, and even donating and supporting local, environmental charities and causes.
